Who’s More Likely to Do Hard Time: Diddy or Rick Ross?
Written by Afterparty South on 25 June 2015
This week, a couple of rap superstars have been in the news but not for their lyrical prowess. No, they’ve been on the wrong side of the law. Let’s start with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Diddy, a.k.a. Puffy, a.k.a. P. Diddy, a.k.a. Puff Daddy got arrested for attacking his son, Justin’s strengthening and training coach as well as going after an intern at UCLA. It allegedly started when Justin was sent home from practice due to a poor workout. Apparently, that didn’t sit too well with Puffy because he came back later with Justin. And Diddy was pissed. It’s said that he went after the strengthening coach who ended up with some scratches and minor injuries. Then Diddy apparently went after an intern with a kettlebell. He got arrested and posted bail and is now free. His rep said he was defending himself and the whole account is wholly inaccurate. Let’s see if he can beat these charges like he’s done in the past.
Now on to the biggest boss, Rick Ross. According to arrest warrants, Ross was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a man inside of his guesthouse on his estate on June 7. The warrant details how the man’s teeth were chipped with a gun and his jaw was so severely injured that he could only eat soft food and was forced to be on a liquid diet. Ricky Rozay and his bodyguard, Nadrian Lateef James, were both arrested by U.S. Marshals without incident. Ross has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and kidnapping. Both Rick Ross and James have been denied bond and will remain locked up until they go before a judge on July 1. Looks like the boss will be on a little involuntary vacation.
How do you think these cases will play out? Will their celebrity status play a role? Who’s more likely to do hard time: Diddy or Rick Ross?
