The Conversation Has Just Started, But It Must Continue

While the online town hall meeting at Tha Afterparty Radio was a booming success and got the conversation started, it must go on and it must lead to strong actions and real, lasting change. At the “Together We Must Stand” meeting, we had a well-informed and passionate panel of local speakers who led the charge on everything from the tragedy in downtown Dallas, to the recent police-involved shootings of unarmed black men, to the historical context of policing and the black community, to personal responsibility, to real, sustainable actions to fix our community. We had great phone-in calls, social media comments and questions and awesome feedback. Tha Afterparty got great momentum going, but the real challenge is in keeping it going. Please take the baton and continue making a difference in your community and greater society as a whole. After all, #TogetherWeMustStand.
