Rapper Eve Will Executive Produce & Star In New Interaccial Romance Comedy

Don’t sleep on Eve! Eve may have found her a boo, and be snuggled up in London, but she still has that same Ruff Ryders’ work ethic. Eve has just landed a new interracial romance comedy that she will also co-executive produce. Although the show is still in needed of a writer, we can almost guess that some of the storyline will be inspired by the rapper’s own interracial relationship.

Here’s the scoop:

ABC has closed a deal for a multi-camera comedy project to star actress-rapper Eve, from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios. The project, which is eyed for the 2014-15 development season, is looking for a writer. I hear Kaplan approached Eve (full name Eve Jeffers) with the idea for a multi-camera interracial romantic comedy. The two pitched it to ABC, which bought the project with penalty. Eve and Kaplan (ABC’s The Neighbors) executive kapitalproduce. ICM Partners-repped Eve previously toplined her eponymous sitcom on UPN and starred in the Barbershop movie franchise.

2015, though? Hopefully the show will be worth the wait.
