Butt Shots Epidemic: Another Woman Dies From Botched Procedure in Miami

Suyima Torres is another woman who has died from complications from a botched butt shot procedure. NBC news is reporting that the woman died 10 hours after paying $2,300 for the procedure at Cuerpos Health and Aesthetics on the 8400 block of West Flagler Street.

NBC says:

Moments later she would be spotted disoriented outside the center by a neighboring business owner who only identifies himself as Naveed.

“I was looking at her and she fell down so I went outside, I picked her up, I asked her where’s her car,” he said. Naveed said he then called 911.

Torres’ mother, Coralia Espinosa, said her daughter was then rushed to the hospital accompanied by the center’s owner, Ruth Planas – who never told the doctors about the procedure, according to Espinosa.

“Maybe if that woman would’ve told them early my daughter would still be here,” she said.

Torres died 10 hours after receiving the injections, leaving behind two daughters, ages seven and eight.

Although the owner of the center has not been charged yet, the center is now closed. What’s crazy is that a few weeks prior, a lady by the name of Dailen Garcia received the same injections and suffered vision problems and bleeding of the lungs. Garcia was even admitted to the intensive care unit. Obviously something isn’t right about this center. Hopefully everything will come out in the end.
