Written by Afterparty South on 6 November 2014
While her mantra maybe, “Aye, wake me up when I’m rich,” T Lo-Lo, also known as Princess Tiana, knows that it takes much hard work and dedication to her craft. This female emcee is all about enlightening her audience with a message of hope, dreams and reaching for the seemingly impossible. Producing a refreshing delivery through a razor-sharp, lightning-fast flow, punctuated by a slowed down tempo, T is known to keep her audience clamoring for more.
Her diversity is evident through her choice of hip-hop influences, including Biggie Smalls, T.I., DTP’s Shawnna, and of course, Nicki Minaj. A true purveyor of the spoken word, she knows how much her music can be persuasive, motivating and mood-setting. Whether on such tracks as “Johnny Bravo,” which is an ode to her unique hairstyle, “Wake Me Up (When I’m Rich),” her personal motivation or “Lap Dance,” T’s street anthem, T Lo-Lo is sure to provide something for everybody.
A transplant from Chicago, T Lo-Lo has made her home in Dallas, where she is navigating the music scene. Keeping her family always on her mind, she has big dreams and fame within her sights. Look out world because this fierce female Phenom is not taking no for an answer and insists that losing is not an option.
