According to Nick Cannon, after his divorce from Mariah Carey, he doesn’t plan to ever get married again. Was the marriage that traumatizing? Was the divorce that bitter? Was marriage something that just wasn’t right for him? We don’t know all the specifics about the Nick/Mariah marriage/divorce, but theirs definitely isn’t an isolated event.

We’ve all heard the startling statistic that 50% of American marriages end in divorce, yet only 40% of marriages include one partner that has been married before and 20% of marriages consist of both partners who were previously married. After divorce, it seems like a majority of people are saying “no” to marriage again, but there are quite a few people who are giving it another shot.
