Woman Impregnated By Her Father Finally Gets a Chance at Life, Awarded $10,000 Scholarship

Written by on 21 October 2013

A New Jersey woman by the name of Aziza Kibibi has just been awarded a $10,000 scholarship for facing horrifying adversity. From the age of 8 to 23, Aziza was sexually abused by her father Aswad Ayinde (famous for directing the music video for “Killing Me Softly” by the Fugees). What made the situation worse was that Aswad was using his daughter to create what he deemed “purebred offspring”.

Aswad impregnated his daughter four times, while hiding her off from the world, and only three of the children survived due to medical conditions from inbreeding.

Thankfully Aswad is behind bars and serving a 90 year sentence for his crimes. Aziza is currently building a life beyond the travesty of her childhood. She is currently in a relationship, raising her children, and attending school ( a luxury that she was not given during the time she was under her father’s imprisonment). Aziza is also working on a autobiography called Unashamed, detailing her abuse.
