Who’s Got Beef?

Written by on 1 December 2014

What’s beef? Apparently, it seems to be a tried and true technique that many artists can’t seem to do without. Whether to drum up a little buzz for a newcomer, give an established artist a little bit of shine or simply settling a personal vendetta, beef can serve many purposes. And no matter the reason behind it, the public seems to gobble it up by the plate full. After all, what’s better than two high-profiled celebrities trading barbs in front of the entire world? Yeah, go ahead and admit it, you love it.

Let’s rundown a few of the latest, hottest and sometimes pointless beefs.

Label mates, Young Money’s Drake and Tyga have been going back and forth for a minute. Stoking the embers, Tyga publicly announced in an interview how Drake isn’t exactly his favorite person in the world and even went so far as to call him the f-word, “fake.” Going a different route, Drake responded with the power of his fingers and social media — he liked all of Tyga’s baby mama/ex-girlfriend, Blacc Chyna’s photos. In retaliatory fashion, Tyga seemed to diss Drake in one of his songs. Then, Drake shared a photo of himself with Kylie Jenner, Tyga’s rumored girlfriend. That’s gotta hurt. We’ll keep an eye for where this develops.

Would you ever imagine that Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea would be going at it for what seems like forever? Probably not, but unfortunately they are or were — it seems to have finally stopped. It started with Snoop posting a pic of an albino male model with blonde cornrows with the title, “Iggy Azalea No Make Up.” Talking about a woman’s appearance usually doesn’t go over well, so, you guessed it, she responded. He responded. Blah, blah, blah. Then Eminem jumped in and accused Iggy of being too whiny, so here we here we go again.

Of course, there’s a ton more and probably some that are developing at this exact moment. Beef isn’t going anywhere, so let us know what you think.

What do you think about beef? What’s been your favorite celebrity beef ever? Weigh in and let us know what you think.
