#TellUsHowYouReallyFeel: “Best-Friend Mom’s: Are they Helping or Hindering Their Teens?”

Written by on 22 November 2013

There is a new trend amongst this generation of teens and their mothers: Best-Friend Mom’s! While mothers and daughters are encouraged to form a tight bond in recent years the media reports “twinkie” type relationships and potential lines of discipline, respect and even morality being crossed by mothers playing the “friend” role more than attending to their motherly duties. While mothers in their early 30’s are now more commonly parenting teenagers the friendships between them and their teens may be viewed as “Stella’s” trying to get their groove back and reliving the years that they lost. Sharing clothes, partying…where should the lines be drawn?
