Rihanna Partners With UNICEF to Help Children Affected By Typhoon Haiyan

Rihanna is using her “icon powers” for good. The singer has just enlisted her Navy (what she lovingly calls her fans) to help her raise money for children from the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan.
“Simple donations of $5 can go far in a nation looking to recover from a disaster.
UNICEF is currently in the areas affected by Typhoon Haiyan helping kids get necessary supplies. By offering food and water along with medical needs, the children will be helped immediately. Plus, the underlining concern that human trafficking is possible when kids are looking for family has UNICEF stepping in to make sure proper reuniting is possible.”
