Celebrating Legacy, Pride & Accomplishments with Black History Month

February brings with it Black History Month, and the legacy, pride, accomplishments and strength that black folks have brought and established in this country for centuries. While black accomplishments are often minimized or even ignored, it’s critical that we take this month, and the rest of the year to understand how our rich and painful history has shaped our present and even our future. As we continue to fight for our version of the American Dream, let us not forget that this modern-day country is largely what it is thanks to our ancestors who had to endure injustices and inhumanity that many of us can’t even fully fathom. For their trailblazing and faith and courage, we continue to salute them and honor them for leading the way to make it a better country for us and future generations. Happy Black History Month, and let’s continue to make history every way that we can.
