Before You Post Your Michael Kors Pics, Think About the Real Holiday Spirit

Written by on 22 December 2015

Yes, Christmas is right around the corner and yes, it’s a joyous time of giving and receiving. For some people, receiving is at the top of the list. While we can almost all agree that getting presents is a very heartwarming feeling, Christmas is at least the one time of year where we should think beyond ourselves and our own situations. The first thing that may come to mind is thinking about our family members, but what about others in the community? What about the mother who may have lost a child? What about the father who may have lost his job and can barely support his family? What about the child who has gone countless nights without a hot meal in his or her stomach? So, while you’re grateful that you got the latest Michael Kors purse and you should be, think beyond yourself and your needs and what you received. It doesn’t have to be about money or presents — give someone a helping hand, tell someone “hello,” ask someone “how are you doing,” let someone know you’re thinking about them. After all, tis the season.
