Raven-Symoné, Girl, What Happened to You?
Written by Afterparty South on 30 October 2015
Oh, Raven-Symoné, you used to be our girl. We used to love you so very much. You were our adorable little Olivia on “The Cosby Show.” Then, you went on and had your own show and became a pop singer and we loved you even more for being such a positive role model for our little girls. You came out and we supported you and still embraced you. But then, you got on “The View” and now – well, our love for you has vanished along with your sensibilities.
Since you’ve been on “The View” you’ve done nothing but alienate your loyal fan base with your careless and downright ignorant remarks from you being “dark white” to discriminating against black people for having “ghetto sounding” names to placing all blame on the student assaulted by the officer in school. Well, both viewers and people who don’t even watch the show have had enough of your vitriolic comments.
You’ve been the ire of social media for weeks now and the backlash has grown even stronger with a growing petition to get you booted from “The View.” The petition has garnered more than 50,000 signatures and is growing so maybe it’s time to re-think your comments, your persona and everything that still keeps you relevant.
Because this new Raven-Symoné is completely not “That’s So Raven” that we used to love.
