Spike Lee Sued For Incident Dealing With George Zimmerman Case

Written by on 11 November 2013

Spike Lee is being sued for dealing with the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case in his own emotional way. The movie director tweeted an address, believing it to be George Zimmerman, after the murder was made public. However, the address was actually that of an elderly couple, David and Elaine McClain.

The couple claim that they began receiving hate mail and death threats. In fact, the tweet was retweet so much that the couple fears for their life. “The McClains say Lee’s Tweet of their address encouraged “a dangerous mob mentality.” Now they want a lot more for their troubles and grief.”

Spike, you may be out of some money on this one…
