Tha Afterparty Radio Featured Artist of the Week: J. Waiters

Written by on 20 April 2018

Since the tender age of 3, J. Waiters has done what he’s destined to do – sing. From singing solos at The Liberty Baptist Church in Chicago to performing at the upcoming Southwest Summer Jam in Las Vegas, J. has used his silky-smooth and soulful vocals to spread his distinctive message to his fans. A mainstay in the South and Southwest, including Texas, Las Vegas, and Southern California, J. is seeing his special brand of R&B make its mark. Understanding that flexibility and commitment are key to an enduring career, J. can recall being chosen for the Ricky Dillard Youth Choir at the age of 8 but not being able to join since his mom relocated to Dallas. Not using that missed opportunity as a deterrent, J. kept on with his music and fondly remembers the first time, “I actually looked at music seriously and, from then, I knew I wanted to be an artist/performer and the rest is history.” Besides performing at the Southwest Summer Jam on July 21, J. is also about to drop his single with Uno Losso as well as his single with rapper C. Struggs. Currently, J has a hot single and video with C.J. Watson and P.A.T called “X-Rated,” the J. Waiters “Hot Winters” mixtape and “Bustin’ Like an Uzi: Vol. 1” mixtape. Regardless of the project, J. wants his fans to get “the message of love and relationships and the relaxation that comes with it,” from his music.
