President Obama Goes Out With Class, Style and Sense of Hope

Written by on 11 January 2017

Still holding on to a message of hope, President Obama laid out his successes, shortcomings, reflected on his legacy and took on topics like race, discrimination and class differences with an ease and fluidity given his historic distinction as the first black president of the United States in his farewell speech. While he wasn’t all rosy about the incoming administration and what could be calamitous to the American way of life, he did leave the people with the same idealism that saw him capture two presidential terms to shape the way we viewed the United States forever. Mr. President, we thank you for you service and not only your accomplishments but for the very real examples that you set that there’s still hope, that “Yes, we can” and the seemingly possible can indeed be possible.
