Don’t Get All #CrazyInLove Over #VDay, It’s Just Another Day

Written by on 14 February 2017

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day can be the kiss of death if you have unrealistic expectations. Yes, Valentine’s is just another day. The 14th of February isn’t some magical, fairy tale-like day where you can or should expect all of your romantic dreams to come true. If you’re in a relationship, don’t use the day as a test of your partner’s love and commitment. Instead of agonizing over your partner sweeping you off your feet on one particular day, be thankful for all the small things that he or she does on a daily basis. If you find yourself single on V-Day, accept it; it’s not the end of the world. Regardless of if you’re actively looking for a relationship or happily single, you can always treat yourself.  Your love for yourself is one that won’t ever terminate. No matter your situation, Valentine’s Day is not the be all and end all – it can rarely live up to the hype.
