Should the Cowboys Take a Stand or a Knee During MNF?

Over the weekend, we’ve not only seen an unprecedented number of players take a stand against the ongoing National Anthem protests and Trump’s off-the-cuff remarks in response to them, but also coaches, management and even owners. While teams like the Ravens saw a majority of players take a knee, and even Trump-supporting teams like the Patriots linking arms, some teams didn’t even take the field during the song like the Ravens.

The big question on everybody’s mind is how the Cowboys will respond on Monday Night Football? So far, Coach Garrett is saying that he doesn’t expect any players to protest, but it seems like the team would be remiss to avoid such a pivotal moment. When you have the so-called President of the United States singling out the league for players exercising their constitutional rights when there are pervasive instances of racial and systematic injustice every day, it’s hard to ignore that there are some serious issues with our country.

Since the Cowboys are “America’s Team,” should they take a stand to show solidarity with the rest of the league? Or should they stand during the anthem to show their support for the country? Or does it even matter? Weigh in and #LetUsKnowHowYouReallyFeel.
