Black Family Featuring 2 Gay Dads Face of New Clothing Line

The look and feel of a “traditional” family has transitioned rapidly over the years. When not too long ago, a family headed by a single mother was considered taboo, the world has seen gay parents successfully raising children in loving relationships that look like any other family.
A few years back, two little black girls where getting their hair done by their fathers. But, the twist was that the dads were in a relationship, and Kordale Lewis and Kaleb Anthony quickly became viral sensations as the gay dads. Now, that family has scored an advertising campaign with Acne Clothing that showed, yes, gay people have children, too. Yes, gay people can have a family. Yes, children in a gay family can be normal.
While many have and will embrace the idea of this family, critics have said it signals what is wrong with the world, the country and more specifically the black community. These critics see this a cataclysmic break of the nuclear family that should be a mom and dad. They see this as normalizing something that they view as “unnatural” to begin with.
What do you think? Should the family be the face of an ad campaign? Do you think it’s a breath of fresh air to see a non-traditional family? Do you think this is political correctness gone awry? #TellUsHowYouReallyFeel
