#TellUsHowYouReallyFeel, Abuse… Are You A Product Of Your Environment?

Written by on 18 October 2013

As we acknowledge Domestic Violence Awareness month the definition of “abuse” seems to differ among cultures. Would you agree that the African-American community is more accepting of verbal & physical abuse and even glorifies its use in the hip-hop culture and African-American cinema. Pimps are glorified and women are hurting. Not to mention the abuse that happens among children by a mate. In the case of NFL player Adrian Peterson, if his son hadn’t suffered grave injuries would he even know his child was being abused? Where are the lines drawn? Mostly importantly, do you feel abuse is a learned behavior?
